A Stylish Renovation Takes The Brighton Dining Experience to New Heights

The Brighton has been updated, during a six week, marathon renovation that became a family affair for many members of the Amalfi and Gregory families, and involved many friends and contractors.

When patrons arrive, they will notice a much brighter pallet of interior finish colors and materials, and a subtle play of textures, with stone wall-treatments in the main entry, reconditioned wood finishes throughout, a complete restoration of the lavatories, new carpet and tile flooring, and the resurrection and re-purposing of some old beams found in the basement. Simple black framed photographs of Rochester’s history compliment the black tablecloths and accents throughout, and remind patrons that The Brighton, open since 1861, has survived a depression, recessions, a civil war, and several world wars.
